New Tanker Truck for Oktibbeha V.F.D

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Oktibbeha County has a very good firing rating, and it’s going to keep it, thanks, in part, to a new fire truck.

The 3,000 gallon tanker will be dispatched from the Central Oktibbeha Volunteer Fire Department in Longview.

The Peterbilt can pump out 500 gallons of water a minute.

A Federal Assistance to Fire Fighters grant covered 95 percent of the truck’s $220,000 price tag.

The is the second new truck Oktibbeha County firefighters have received through the program.
