New Superintendent Search

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – The search will soon be on to find a new superintendent for the Tupelo Public School District.

Later this week, TPSD board members  will meet with the Mississippi School Board Association to start the search process.

Also, the board will encourage community input and involvement in the search.  TPSD Board President Dr. Eddie Prather says he wants to be sure there is a smooth transition to continue the achievements under Doctor Loden’s watch.

“We are looking for someone with great leadership skills, and , of course we want to maintain our educational standards, expectations, community has, we have a diverse population we want to make sure we provide opportunity for someone with skill set to come in and lead that,” Dr. Prather said.

Doctor Prather says he is thankful Doctor Loden made his announcement months before his retirement.  He says that will make the transition and search easier.
