New School Board Member for Monroe Co.

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Monroe County schools have a new board member.

Jean Robinson was chosen to take over the late Don Self’s seat on the school board, representing district four.

She’ll finish Self’s term, which ends next December.

The district four seat will be on the ballot for the November election next year, and the winner will serve until December 2019.

Robinson is a 1971 graduate of Hamilton High School, and a former bank manager.

She’ll be sworn in next month.
