New Chief Of Police

PHILADELPHIA, Miss. (WCBI)-Philadelphia has a new Chief of Police.

Last night, the Philadelphia Mayor and Aldermen voted unanimously to elect Grant Myers an investigator and drug officer with the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department to the position.

Myers was selected out of 10 applicants.

He succeeds Bill Cox who resigned August 30th.

Myer’s salary was set at $55,000.

His start date as chief will be determined after speaking with the sheriff.
