VIDEO: Nettleton Teen Charged with Weapons Possession on School Property

NETTLETON, Miss. (WCBI)- La’Bryant Finnie has been charged with possession of a weapon on school property, with a bond of $250,000.

There is video surveillance of Finnie with the backpack that contained the firearm at Nettleton High School, which when found, sent the school into lock down.

Finnie is being charged as an adult.  He is also facing two charges of sexual battery in Chickasaw County, unrelated to the school incident.

Finnie is charged as an adult in the Chickasaw County cases.  That factored into the adult charges in Nettleton.

Sheriff Jim Johnson says other arrests are expected because a family member is believed to have picked him up from the school when he fled during the lock down.
