‘National Prescription Drug Take Back Day’ in Tupelo
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Residents in Tupelo had a safe, convenient way to dispose of prescription drugs.
The Tupelo Police headquarters was the collection site for “National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.”
Residents were able to bring expired prescription drugs, and drop them off for safe disposal at the police department.
The Drug Enforcement Administration organizes the drug take back day to give Americans a safe way to dispose of unused, expired and unwanted drugs.
It also helps reduce the opioid crisis. The drug take back day is in its 9th year.
