Natchez Trace Parkway, Choctaw County implement burning restrictions
CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Even with the prospect of rain in the forecast, there are new burn restrictions. The National Park Service is banning campfires and charcoal use on the Natchez Trace Parkway.
Choctaw County Supervisor Joey Stephenson said there is a burn ban there until further notice.
Prentiss County is the only county in the WCBI viewing area not under a ban.
The entire state of Alabama is under a ‘No Burn Order’.
