TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – A contestant in the upcoming Miss Mississippi pageant is preparing for a weekend event that will impact the lives of children.
Holly Harrington is holding an event called “Music and Miracles” this Saturday evening at the Tupelo Cotton Mill.
Proceeds from that event will benefit the “Children’s Miracle Network” and it will feature food, a silent auction, and music by the local band, “Two Drink Minimum.”
Harrington, and “Two Drink Minimum” guitarist Scott Reed say the evening will be a fun way to help many kids and families.
“A good cause, a good night, good music, great food, I don’t know what more you could ask for, except for a great venue and , we have got that too,” Reed said.
“Children’s Miracle Hospitals is the national platform of the Miss America organization, which Miss Mississippi is a part of , and they service more than 170 hospitals nationwide and throughout Canada and over ten million children are impacted by their services every single year, so I’m excited to help raise some funds and awareness for them,” Harrington said.
Harrington was first runner up in last year’s Miss Mississippi Pageant.
Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at Reed’s Gift Shop, About the South, and several other locations. For more information, go to
