Murder Trial Wrapping Up In Starkville

OKTIBBEHA CO., Miss. (WCBI) – The murder trial for a man charged in a 2014 fatal shooting in Starkville is wrapping up.

Immanuel Manning is accused of shooting to death 35-year-old Christopher Houston of Starkville.

Manning took the stand in his defense this afternoon in Oktibbeha County Circuit Court. The jury could get the case tomorrow.

The shooting happened at University Hills trailer park in March of 2014.

Houston died from a single gunshot wound.

Manning was arrested days later by police in Pearl, Mississippi.
