Murder Suspect Remains in Jail

Columbus, Miss. (WCBI) – A Crawford man, charged with murder, remains in jail after his bond was set at $500,000.

Randal Cooper Jr. is accused of shooting Virgil Harris, 23, also of Crawford.

The shooting occurred December 20th near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and 21st Street North.

Investigators say Harris was shot multiple times.

Cooper is being held at the Lowndes County Jail.
