Multiple Arrests in Booneville

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- On August, 23 the Booneville Police Department charged Brieana Katrin Dunn, 25 of Booneville, with Burglary of Dwelling. The burglary, reported on August 11, occurred on Cherry Street. Items were reported stolen but have not been recovered. Her bond was set at $5,000.00. Her case will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.

An update to a previous report: The Booneville Police Department has amended the charges against Shyniece S. Simmons to include a charge of Robbery after further investigation into her original charges from an incident which occurred on August 18 at Wal-Mart. Her bond for the Robbery charge is set at $25,000.00. This bond will be in addition to her previous bond of $5,000.00 for a charge of Felony Possession of Cocaine. She is currently incarcerated at the Prentiss County Jail with a hold for another agency. Her case will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.

Shyniece Simmons

The Booneville Police Department arrested and charged Corey Grant Saylors, 21 of Booneville, for Simple Assault on a Police Officer after an altercation occurred on August 23. A Booneville Patrol Officer was attempting to arrest Mr. Saylors for misdemeanor offenses when Mr. Saylors physically assaulted the officer. This occurred at Dodge’s on Second Street in Booneville. Mr. Saylors’ bond was set at $10,000.00. He is also charged with several other misdemeanor offenses. His case will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.

The Booneville Police Department arrested and charged George Ronnie Scott, 64 of Booneville, for Felony Bad Check. His bond is set at $1,000.00. He also has a misdemeanor charge of Bad Check. His case will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury. Mr. Scott also has charges pending in Lee County.
