MSDH ‘Transportation to Health’: Free Ubers to, from county health depts.

MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) – Patients being treated at county health departments across the state can now get a free ride to their appointments.

The Mississippi State Department of Health launched its “Transportation to Health” program.

The program will provide patient transportation through Uber to and from county health departments.

Patients can also pick up prescriptions at partnering pharmacies. The medicine has to be prescribed during the health department visit.

To get the free ride, you will have to contact the MSDH call center at (855)767-0170. The office will coordinate the ride with Uber and there will be no cost.
