MSDH reporting 967 new coronavirus cases Friday

JACKSON, MISS. (WCBI) – The number of new COVID-19 cases in the state remains high.

The state department of health is reporting 967 new cases today and 14 deaths. One of those deaths is in Lee County.

In our area, Lee County continues to have the most new cases. Today it’s reporting 71 cases. Pontotoc County is reporting 28 new cases.

Fewer people are hospitalized with confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19. That number is at 640.

154 patients are in ICU. 73 are on a ventilator.
