MSDH reporting 588 new cases of COVID-19

JACKSON, MISS. (WCBI) – More people are in Mississippi hospitals with COVID-19 symptoms.

The state department of health is reporting 588 new cases today, along with 24 deaths.

588 people are hospitalized with confirmed or suspected coronavirus.

125 of those patients are in I.C.U. and 58 are on a ventilator.

The 25 – 39-year-old age group continues to have the most cases.

Right now, only 12 point three percent of cases require hospitalization.
