More than 50 People File Suit After Getting Food Poisoning
CORINTH, Miss. (WCBI)-A number of Corinth customers file suit after eating tainted food and becoming ill. More than 50 plaintiffs are listed in the complaint that seeks a jury trial and damage awards related to a salmonella outbreak at Don Julio’s restaurant in Corinth last fall. The plaintiffs all say they became ill after eating at Don Julio’s between November 25 and December 5. Don Julio’s closed voluntarily while the Mississippi Department of Health conducted an investigation after receiving a report of contaminated food on Dec 2. Specific food handling deficiencies were identified by the Department and corrected. The restaurant has reopened.
