Monroe Seniors Meet with Law Enforcement

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) — A group of Monroe County’s more seasoned citizens shared their experience with local law enforcement.

Seniors and Law Enforcement Together, or SALT, was formed in Monroe County to open the lines of communication between senior citizens and the county’s law enforcement agencies.

The group discusses crime and safety issues that affect older citizens, and they are working together to develop programs for the area’s senior citizens.

They are currently working with the sheriff’s department on a grant for weather radios.
