Monroe County Shooting

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- A Monroe County man is in the hospital after a shooting last night.

Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell said 29 year old Dustin Fretwell and his stepfather were shot by 52 year old Mark Connor.

Fretwell was shot in the chest.

He was sent to Baptist Memorial Hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.

Cantrell said the stepfather suffered cuts and bruises on different parts of his body.

Cantrell said Fretwell did not want to press charges against Connor.
