Video: Monroe County Man Facing Animal Neglect Charges

WREN, Miss. (WCBI) A Monroe County man is behind bars and facing 33 counts of animal neglect.
Billy Ray Neese, 65, was arrested by Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies today.
Deputies were dispatched to a home on Old Highway 41 after a call that there were animals there in deplorable conditions.
When deputies arrived, they discovered 1 mare, 1 calf, 2 dogs, 6 cats, 20 birds, and 3 goats.
Neese was arrested and charged with animal neglect. He is currently being held at the Monroe County Detention Center.
Amory Humane Society is currently providing care for the 33 animals.
