Mobile home destroyed in fire

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An early morning fire in Lowndes County destroyed a mobile home, but no one was injured.

The fire broke out around 6 o’clock Monday morning at a home on Lodge Street in Crawford.

Lowndes County Fire Coordinator Neal Austin says a neighbor passing by saw the flames.

When firefighters got to the scene, the home was already fully involved.

Austin says the homeowner was at work when the fire started. The home is a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
