MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY (WCBI) – More than 140 businesses are on Mississippi State University’s campus looking for new employees.
The businesses are taking part in MSU’s annual fall career fair. The two day fair gives students and alumni opportunities to explore co-op, intern and full-time opportunities with local, state and national businesses and organizations. Tuesday (9/25) is the Business and Non-Technical Career Day and Wednesday (9/26) is geared toward the Engineering and Technical fields.
” There is a lot of stuff to look at a lot of great corporations and companies, there is a lot to choose from and a lot of people to talk to about internship or fulltime employment so I got a lot of choices, ” says senior international business major Eva Beidelman. Another student says he’s looking for some experience. “I am just looking for a summer job or internship just to kind of get my feet wet actually have a real business job not just mom and pop jobs,” says junior business administration major Andrew Blassingame. And senior accounting major Stephen McBride says MSU has prepared him for his career, “Mississippi State has pretty much embedded what the companies are looking for and making sure we are up to par on requirements.”
Activities are being held in Humphrey Coliseum from noon to 4 p.m. Students are reminded to dress professionally and bring copies of their résumés.
