Mississippi State Linebackers Green, Ward Arrested
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – Two Mississippi State football players were arrested Friday, the Starkville Daily News’ Joel Coleman first reported Saturday.
Redshirt freshman Gerri Green and junior DeAndre Ward were arrested early Friday morning, according to Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office records. Green was charged with possession of beer in a dry county, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Ward was charged with possession of beer in a dry county and disturbing the peace.
The OCSD said no altercation took place.
A Mississippi State spokesman said the team is aware of the arrests and that discipline will be handled internally. The two players were at MSU’s football practice Friday.
