MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) – Mississippi received an A grade for its effort in teaching high school students financial literacy.

The Center for Financial Literacy at Chaplain College in Vermont issued a high rating to the state in the 2023 National Report Card.

The state only received a C letter grade in 2017.

The requirement within the state began in 2022.

Six other states, Alabama, Iowa, Tennessee, Utah, and Virginia, received an A as well.
