Mississippi COVID-19 numbers drop over weekend

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI)- The Mississippi State Department of Health reports 539 new cases of COVID-19 with 11 new deaths.

There are 19 new cases among long term care facilities within the state.

The total number of cases is 86,478 with 2,569 deaths.

It’s presumed that more than a thousand 67,918 Mississippians have recovered from the virus.
