Missing elderly Tupelo man possibly in Columbus

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo police believe a man who’s been missing since February might be in the Columbus area.

Rommie Essex, 80, was last seen in the 3000 block of North Gloster in Tupelo on February 19.

Since then TPD investigators, firefighters, and canine searches have been ongoing.

Friday, TPD said they’ve gotten credible reports Mr. Essex was seen in the Columbus area. Search canines have also been used here in search or mister Essex.
