UPDATE: Missing Oktibbeha Child Found
OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — After a frantic 14 hours, a missing 8-year-old Oktibbeha County boy has been found safe at about 9:30 a.m. today.
Investigators found their search area and a volunteer found the child standing in a wooded area about 200 yards from the church that served as the search headquarters. Sheriff Steve Gladney said the child was “shaken” but “safe and healthy.”
His parents got into a car with him and went to their home.

Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s deputies, rescue workers and volunteers are searching for an 8-year-old boy who has been missing for 14 hours in the Oktoc area of southeastern Oktibbeha County.
Sheriff’s Investigator Brent Watson says Martavius Bankhead was last seen leaving his home at about 7 p.m. Wednesday.
He was wearing a black hoodie with gray t-shirt, black pants and red shoes. He is five-foot, four-inches tall and weighs 60 to 70 pounds. He has a medium complexion and short cut hair.
A search headquarters is set up at Finding Your Way Through Christ Ministries on Walker Road off Oktoc Road.
