Middle of the week rain and drop in temperatures

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Rain showers roll in from the Gulf throughout Tuesday night and will stick around into Wednesday. After a slight temperature drop on Wednesday, more average temperatures return to the forecast.

TUESDAY NIGHT: The low pressure system in the Gulf is continuing to wrap in moisture, moving in rain showers from the South. Throughout the night the rain chance will increase going into Wednesday. If rain is not being experienced, than the heavy cloud coverage will be. Temperatures tonight will be cool, in the lower 50s.

WEDNESDAY: Continuing the rain showers from overnight. Scattered rain will continue through most of the day. Heavy overcast clouds continue for the middle of the week. Compared to last Wednesday being the hottest day of the week, high temps this Wednesday will be the coolest of the week. High temperatures will only reach into the upper 50s. Overnight low temperatures will again fall into the lower 50s.

THURSDAY: Temperatures will be returning more to normal, reaching back into the middle 60s. Cloud coverage will continue to be heavy. Rain will be very light and isolated. The rain chance will be only around 20%. Low temperatures are going to be in the middle 50s.
