Michigan man charged with threatening Gov. Phil Bryant

JACKSON (MBI RELEASE) – The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation announced today that Harold Joseph Collins, 48, a resident of Detroit, Michigan, was arrested on five (5) counts of Cyberstalking for making multiple deadly threats over the telephone to Gov. Phil Bryant and his office during the month of January.

The U.S. Marshals Service and the Detroit Police Department assisted in the investigation and resulting arrest.

These threats were of a very serious and specific nature and we did not take them lightly,” said MBI Director Lee Morrison. “We appreciate the assistance of both agencies in the apprehension of Collins.”
