MHP Looking For Suspected Vehicle Involved In Fatal Wreck

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol needs your help locating a car possibly involved in a fatal wreck.

47 year old Hershell Dale Ray was travelling with two friends in a Toyota Forerunner when they were allegedly run off the road.

According to Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon, the Forerunner flipped and lost its top, killing Ray and throwing passenger Kayla Pruitt from the vehicle.

Pruitt was reportedly conscious while being airlifted to NMMC in Tupelo and the third passenger, Kasey Pharr was unharmed.

The accident happened on Highway 25 near the natchez trace around 10:15 this morning, October 3.

Witnesses say that a white sedan was driving south bound, but well into the north bound lane.
