Memorial Holiday Traffic Totals

MISSISSIPPI, (WCBI) –  The Memorial holiday traffic totals are in.

During the holiday period, the Mississippi Highway Patrol issued 6081 citations including 693 seat-belt violations. 132 DUI arrests were made. MHP investigated 112 collisions across the state. There were three fatal collisions investigated during the weekend. Friday Troop C investigated a fatal collision at the intersection of MS 49 in Yazoo County. Sunday Troop F investigated a fatal collision near mile marker 97 on US 78 in Lee County and a fatal collision at the intersection of MS 4/County Road 548 in Tippah County.
