Update: Children in Amber Alert Found

UPDATE (11:08 p.m.): Authorities in Louisiana have located the two children from the Amber Alert, Saturday night. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation says they are in custody in Louisiana.

SIMPSON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued an Amber Alert for two children.

Two-year-old Zane Walters, and his 17-year-old mother, Erica Walters, were last seen shortly after 10 p.m., Saturday, traveling eastbound on I-20 in Warren County near the Mississippi/Louisiana state line.

Authorities say they are possibly with 17-year-old Dakota Thornton. He is white with brown hair, and was last seen wearing a red and white striped shirt.

Zane has short blonde hair, hazel eyes, and was last seen wearing Sponge Bob pajamas.

Erica has shoulder-length brown hair with blonde and red highlights and has hazel eyes. She is five feet, three inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, and was wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt.

They were traveling in in a black 2014 Chevrolet Impala with Mississippi license plate SMI 053.
