MBI Completes Investigation Into Ricky Ball Shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has completed its investigation into the officer involved shooting of Ricky Ball in Columbus.

District Attorney Scott Colom confirms to WCBI that he has received the MBI report, but will not release any details.

Columbus Mayor Robert Smith says a statement will be issued soon.

Ball, 26, was fatally shot by former Columbus police officer Canyon Boykin after a traffic stop last October.
