Man Wanted For Stealing A Vehicle Turns Himself In

LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) – A man wanted for stealing a vehicle last month turns himself in.

Edward Jones turned himself in to Lowndes County Deputies and is now facing multiple charges.

Columbus Police first started searching for Jones after the owner of a vehicle reported stolen July 31st told officers that he’d seen his vehicle in the parking lot of B&S Salvage on Gardner Boulevard, where he fled the scene on foot.

Jones is facing two counts of felony taking of a motor vehicle, one count of burglary of a commercial building, and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

His bond was set at $40,000 dollars.
