COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A 19-year-old Columbus man is ordered held on $250,000 bond.

Patrion Barrett turned himself in Monday on aggravated assault charges. The arrest stems from the April 29 shooting outside the convenience store in East Columbus at the corner of McCrary Road and Forrest Boulevard.

Columbus Police say Barrett and the victim got into an argument and Barrett pulled a gun and fired several shots. He’d been on the run until Monday.

The victim was wounded in the elbow.

City Judge Nicole Clinkscales set Barrett’s bond.
