OXFORD – A Feb. 25 trial date was set today for an Oxford man accused of threatening a Columbine-style attack on Oxford High School.
Joshua Brandon Pillault, 20, pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Judge S. Allan Alexander with his newly appointed counsel, Leroy Davis Percy.
A psychiatric report about Pillault also was presented to the court, but it remains sealed on the electronic data system.
Pillault was indicted Oct. 25 on two federal counts accusing him of internet threats to recreate Colorado’s 1999 Columbine attack that killed students and teachers.
Investigators claimed he told others via the internet that he would conduct the attack on the tragedy’s anniversary in April 2013.
Chief Judge Michael P. Mills presides over the case but was in Aberdeen this morning to swear in Jason D. Woodard as the region’s new bankruptcy judge.
