LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Thursday agents with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit and the Sheriff’s Department Warrant Division executed multiple arrest warrants on 30-year-old Jonathan Johnson, at his address on Highway 373.

Johnson, who had been avoiding capture for over a year, was placed under arrest for several outstanding warrants for sale of cocaine. While at the residence agents located an undisclosed amount of cocaine, a handgun, and over $2,000. Johnson was booked on the outstanding warrants with additional charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Johnson is being held at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
