Man Killed on Highway 25 Near Fulton

An early morning accident claimed the life of a Fulton man.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol was dispatched to the two-car crash, approximately 1/2 mile south of Fulton, at 8:14 a.m. Upon arriving it appeared Willie Grimes, 76, of Fulton was apparently attempting to make a u-turn on Highway 25 in a 2012 Nissan Versa, when he apparently pulled into the path of Joe Turner, 64, of Fulton, who was traveling north in a 2006 Ford SUV.

Grimes was transported by ambulance to North Mississippi Medical Center where he later died.

Tanner was also transported to NMMC with moderate injuries.

Both we wearing seat belts.

The accident remains under investigation.
