Man Jailed On Charges Of Domestic Violence

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – A Cleveland man is jailed on domestic violence charges.

On Tuesday, officers with Oxford Police Department were called to 13 Pea Ridge Road, where a man was refusing to leave a woman’s home.

The victim claimed 28-year-old Demario Carter strangled her until she couldn’t breathe.

Yesterday, investigators served Carter with an arrest warrant.

The victim of the assault signed an affidavit and Carter was booked on Domestic Violence – Aggravated Assault charges.

His bond was set at $2,500 dollars.
