Video: Man Indicted on Murder Charges

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A 36-year-old West Point man is indicted on murder charges.

Nathaniel Collins was indicted Wednesday by the Clay County Grand Jury in the July beating and shooting death of 45-year-old Lawrence Maxwell.

A Jan. 22. trial date is set for Collins. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.

Maxwell’s body was found July 5 in a ditch next to Tibbee Creek in southwestern Clay County.
