COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A Lowndes County man who tried to represent himself ends up taking an eight-year prison sentence.
After spending Tuesday picking a jury and questioning witnesses in Lowndes County Circuit Court, 55-year-old Earnest White decided Wednesday to plead guilty to possessing crystal meth.
He was sentenced to eight years in prison as a habitual offender and fined $50,000. White must serve the entire sentence because he had a theft conviction 18 years ago and a cocaine conviction in 2005.
