Man Faces Child Sex Charges In Mississippi & Georgia

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- A Lee County man is facing a slew of child sex charges across two states.

Lee County Deputies arrested Jamey Burrage after a CPS Court hearing back on March 26th.

Earlier that month, a sexual assault investigation was opened up involving Burrage, a registered sex offender.

He registered in Lee County in January of this year then moved to Georgia in February.

After the investigation into the Lee County incident, a warrant was issued, and Burrage was notified he had to be present for the March hearing.

Once in custody, investigators learned Burrage had 13 other felony warrants out of Chattooga County Georgia. The charges range from Aggravated Sodomy to Child Molestation.

Deputies say the charges stem from instances involving three different children.
