Man Convicted In Sexual Battery Of A Child

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A man in Prentiss County will spend the next 35 years in jail on a sexual battery charge.

Jurors returned a guilty verdict on Thursday for David Joe Glasco.

Prosecutors say the five year-old victim reported the crime to a teacher, which allegedly occurred in August 2015.

Glasco recently escaped from the Prentiss County jail but was caught.

He is facing other charges.

Glasco will also have to register as a sex offender.
