Man Charged With Stealing From Elderly Woman

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A 24-year-old Southaven man is charged with ripping off an elderly Lowndes County woman.

Lowndes sheriff’s detectives say Joseph Thornton is charged with exploiting a vulnerable adult for allegedly stealing checks from an 87-year-old woman and cashing them. The checks totaled $3,900.

He is being held on 75 hundred dollar bond.
