Man Charged With Assaulting a Tupelo Police Officer

Tupelo, MS (WCBI) — A Tupelo man is behind bars after an attack on police and a domestic violence victim.
Sunday, Tupelo Police were escorting a domestic violence victim to an apartment complex when Dustin Fair approached the officers and the victim. Fair attacked the victim and the officers. After a brief struggle, Fair threatened one of the officers with a knife.Fair was arrested for Felony Domestic Violence and Simple Assault on a Police Officer. The police officer and the victim were treated for minor injuries.
