Video: Man Charged in Hotel Robbery

[bitsontherun IBvwoapz]MACON, Miss. (WCBI) — Macon police have charged 35-year-old Verdell Clemons with armed robbery in last week’s robbery of the Oak Tree Inn on Highway 45 in Macon.

The hotel attendant told investigators a masked man came in with his hand in his pocket and said, quote, “You know what this is.” He never showed a gun, but the attendant thought he had one.

The bandit made off with money from the register. Clemons was picked up Saturday as a suspect but was not charged until Friday while detectives gathered more evidence.
