Man Charged in Artesia Shootings
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Investigators have charged a man in connection with the shooting deaths of three people in Artesia Tuesday.
District Attorney Scott Colom confirms to WCBI that Clark Earl Allen, Jr. is charged with capital murder.
Demario Snell, Mauricio Nance, and Tyshun Bernard Fields were shot at a home on Mobile Drive. Investigators believe the suspect knew the victims.

Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office press release – Lowndes County investigators filed charges against Clark Earl Allen Jr. on January 16th for Capital Murder in the death of Demario Anquan Snell, Mauricio Lamarcus Nance, and Tyshun Bernard Fields. Investigators have worked around the clock since the initial report and have established probable cause to arrest Allen. Allen was a guest inside the home at the time of the murders, but specifics related to motive will not be released. This investigation is still ongoing and anyone with any information is still asked to come forward.
Allen was taken into custody on January 15th just after the report of a shooting at 23 Mobile Lane in Artersia. The quick response by patrol deputies and their ability to identify and apprehend the suspect was a very important factor in this case.
Allen is being charged under Ms Code 93-3-19 (2) (I) which constitutes a capital offense when three (3) or more persons are killed during the same act.
