Man Arrested on Sexual Battery Warrant

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A Columbus man is charged with having sexual relations with an underage girl.

Police say 24-year-old Keyante Summerville is charged with sexual battery for an incident that allegedly occurred may 14th. He was arrested on a warrant signed this week by a private prosecutor.

It was Summerville’s second arrest this week. He was charged earlier with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and several traffic offenses after a police officer checked his car which was stopped in the middle of a Columbus street.

Police say they found the drugs in the car.
