Man arrested in Memphis in connection to sex crime in Oktibbeha County

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- What started out as a child abuse investigation, ends in a child sex crime indictment.

Lazarus Mobley is charged with touching a child for lustful purposes.

Oktibbeha County investigators say they were called after there was a report of child abuse in March 2018.

Two months later, Child Protective Services called deputies once again.

Court documents allege Mobley touched a child under the age of 16.

U.S. Marshals arrested him Thursday in Memphis.

He was indicted in January of this year.
