Man accused of assaulting two people in West Point

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – Two people were cut in the face and back in West Point.

Steve Swing, 40, was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault.

Police Chief Avery Cook said the stabbings happened on East Brame Avenue about 7:40 a.m. Thursday.

The victims had non life-threatening injuries and were later released from the hospital.

Avery did not release what may have sparked the alleged assault.
