SALTILLO, Miss. (WCBI) – A Saltillo school is set to begin construction on a $1.8 million expansion and renovation project.
Work is set to begin February at Saltillo Primary School on an addition to the second-grade wing that will add six new classrooms, two new restrooms and a physical education building. Expansion to the school cafeteria will also take place. The project is being funded from a bond the Lee County Board of Supervisors approved in July for $13.5 million. The money will fund projects for nine schools in the county.
Cafeteria work is expected to be done by August 1st with the rest of the project to be completed by December.
