Madison County deputy shot in head originally from Northeast Mississippi

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Madison County deputy that was shot Thursday has a connection to north Mississippi.

Multiple sources told WCBI that Bradley Sullivan was shot in the face.

He is originally from Naniah Waiya in Winston County.

Investigators said there was a hostage situation that led to a high-speed chase on Highway 16, near Canton.

Edgar Egbert crashed his jeep after stop sticks flattened his tires, that’s when a shootout occurred.

Sullivan was shot, along with another deputy. Egbert was also injured.
